One more year, the Institut Químic de Sarrià de Barcelona (IQS) students has visited the facilities of Vopak Terquimsa in Tarragona. The meeting is part of the company's commitment to the educational and business training of the university.

The visit, in coordination with the Department of Chemical Engineering directed by Doctor Julia Sempere, has been useful for the students for getting familiar with professional roles that they will find once completed their engineering degrees.

Jose Vidal-Ribas, technical director and sales manager, along with Javier Herráiz, head engineer and projects manager, have explained to the students the operation and logistics in Tarragona terminal, that has 390,000 m3 of liquid chemicals bulk storage. Visitors could also see first hand some ideas about security, health and environment protection.

Along the day, IQS students have visited different points from Terquimsa Vopak facilities, located in the chemical dock of the Tarragona harbour.
