The current company is a leading Dutch liquid bulk storage multinational that handles various products related to petroleum, chemicals, fuel oils and natural gas. It holds the largest network of terminals in the sector, with over 35 million m3 of capacity across the globe. Today’s company is the result of the merger of Van Ommeren and Pakhoed in 1999. Its main offices are located in Rotterdam.

Vopak Terquimsa es un Joint Venture creada en 1970, propiedad de dos de las principales compañías logísticas a nivel nacional y global: Exolum (Compañía logística de hidrocarburos) con un 50% y Royal Vopak, el otro 50%.

Exolum is an international leader in terms of the transport and storage of petroleum products within Europe, it is also a front runner in this same sector in global terms. Exolum manages the most-extensive refined products network in Europe. The company is ranked second in terms of storage capacity volume in Europe and seventh at a worldwide level. Exolum has also recently opened up its capacity with respect to diversifying into new chemicals, in a move that strengthens its strategy to aim beyond hydrocarbons in order to address the challenges of climate change.
It employs over 1,700 people in a logistics system that comprises over 6,000 kilometres of oil pipelines, with a hundred or more facilities, among which are storage terminals and airport facilities, with some 9 million cubic metres of capacity across six countries.
Nàstic and Vopak Terquimsa sign an sponsorship agreement until 2021
The Gimnàstic de Tarragona (also known as Nàstic, or as “Grana” entity by its football shirt color) and Vopak Terquimsa sign a sponsorship agreement that will bring the two entities together for the next 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 sports courses. This way, the company dedicated to the reception, storage and delivery of liquid bulk products becomes an official partner of the Nàstic Company Club.
The president of Nàstic, Josep Maria Andreu; and the general director of Vopak Terquimsa, Eduardo Sañudo, have signed this morning the agreement that will bind both entities. President “Grana” highlighted the interest for a collaboration of a company that has almost half a century of presence in the territory, adding that “it is a pride that a global company like Vopak Terquimsa supports our present and future project”. For his part, the general director of the company, Eduardo Sañudo, was very pleased with the agreement adopted because “Vopak Terquimsa is involved in sports projects since we are convinced that sport develops many of the values fundamental for society. We also believe that in difficult times it is necessary to support and collaborate in a project so important for our city like the one of Gimnàstic de Tarragona.”
With this new sponsorship agreement, Vopak Terquimsa shows his confidence with the sport, social and economic project of the Gimnàstic de Tarragona for this new course in the Second Division B. Companies from the local, national and international territory are committed to go hand in hand in the present and also in the future of the “Grana” entity.”
