About thirty tennis players pay homage to Gerard Gibert, in the first Memorial that bears his name, the seventh Vopak Terquimsa Adapted Tennis Tournament. At the Golf Costa Daurada, one of the most emotional days of the sports calendar has been experienced. To the practice of the players has also been added the support of all those who have not wanted to miss an event that is a recognition of overcoming and in this case, also, an emotional memory of Gerard.

In sports, the competition has been divided into four categories, depending on the ability of each player with the ball: male, female, initiation and skill, and some thirty tennis players have participated, in addition to those registered in the last Championship of Catalonia of Adapted Tennis, and that demonstrates the success of the call. All participants have won a medal and a final diploma in recognition of the effort made throughout the morning.

The awards ceremony was attended by Xavi Pueyo, sports director of the Padel, Tennis and Say Golf Costa Daurada sections; Serapi Colombo, director of the SOLC Club; Elvira Vidal, Councilor for Various Capacity of the Tarragona City Council; José Vidal-Ribas, technical director of Vopak Terquimsa, main sponsor of the tournament, and Carme Saldaña, president of the ACELL Tarragona Federation.

During the awards ceremony, an emotional tribute was paid to the family of player Gerard Gibert with the participation of his friends and colleagues who wanted to dedicate some emotional words of remembrance to him. From Golf Costa Daurada they wanted to thank the SOLC Sports Club of Tarragona for their collaboration and also Vopak Terquimsa as the main sponsor, who once again supported this initiative.
